What is Video Production?
Fundamentally our business is about offering Creative Services. We are about adding value to our culture and to our clients through creativity. Creativity is the motivation, Video Production is the means to get there.
Techne, or Techné, is a greek term used within considerations pertaining to philosophy…is often translated as craftsmanship, craft, or art. It is the rational method involved in producing an object or accomplishing a goal or objective. -Wikipedia
Both Annie and I (Tory) studied philosophy in collage, one term that really stuck with me as an artist is the concept of a techne. What really impressed me is not so much what it meant, or what it was, but what it was not. The “Craft” is not the end… it is only the means to the end.
What is the End of Video Production?
Video Production actually involves many techne, it brings together images and sound, graphic design and animation, marketing and art. But excellence in any one, or all, of these crafts is not the end of Video Production. I would suggest that the end of all of this technical skill and creative excellence is to show Beauty, Truth and Goodness.
This may seem lofty but it really is the way we try to approach every project. It is just as important for a piece of art as it is for a promotional video or a commercial production.
Why Beauty, Truth and Goodness?
Because we all long for Beauty, Truth and Goodness, they are at the heart of every major human experience. It is their presence, or absence, that makes us feel anything. We feel called to produce art. We feel it is our duty to make the world a better place through our creative gifts. What is wonderful is that this has also grown into helping businesses and organizations communicate what is great about their efforts as well. We have loved partnering with our clients to display the passion and talent they bring to the world.

So What Can You Do?
We think it is important to offer the full range of services needed to make a great video production. Being located in central Nebraska means that specializing in only one area would mean limiting what we can deliver. There are no other specialists around:) So I like to say that we are a full service production company, Just on a smaller scale:) This means Creative Services, Video Production, Motion Graphics, 3d Models, effects etc. Our goal is to be able to bring Hollywood production value and storytelling to the projects we do with a scale that is appropriate for the budget.
These projects can span the gamut of industries and mediums. We can produce anything from more traditional 30 second commercial production, to promotional videos intended to be YouTube videos. They may be content designed to sell, such as an instructional DVD. Or they may be “Art” that is to be “distributed”…
Of course we can talk about what we can do but as the saying goes in Hollywood “you are only as good as your last movie” so the best thing to do is just show what we can do.
